Anita Thompson

Hi I’m Anita and I have lived in Little Lumley since 2007.

After leaving school, I worked for 20 years in the manufacturing industry before moving on to work in the public sector for Sunderland Council and then Durham County Council, where I was part of the Area Action Partnership Team in the City Centre. I then worked for the Drug and Alcohol Addiction Team for a short time, before taking some time out of work for maternity leave.

These days, I am a full-time farmer’s wife and mother to a teenage son. I help out with running the farm and in my spare time, I enjoy photography, local history and dog walks. I hope that by being part of the Parish Council, I can help to make a difference to the area and make it a better place for everyone who lives here.
